Buttons

Hamilton Banda runs a woodcarving business in Blantyre,Malawi and employs several woodcarvers. The wood he uses is taken from sustainable forests and thequality of the work produced by these men is quite remarkable. He has supplied us with a variety of goods, including pairs of finely carved African animals which showamazing detail. The elephants and warthogs are two of our favourites. Some of the buttons have been speciallydesigned for us and feature Celtic designs.Wool-n-wood also  have the logo of Open Arms Infant Home  where Lesley first met Hamilton. This mother and baby design has been made in to a necklace which is lovely to wear due to its' tactile nature.
